The President has seemingly unlimited power to issues pardons and commutations. But is it in fact without limits? How has the clemency power been exercised over time? Are there measures to be taken to ensure that this power is exercised as intended? Come hear three nationally-recognized experts in this field – Jeffrey Toobin, who recently published a book on the subject; Elizabeth Oyer, the former United States Pardon Attorney, and Mark Osler, a leading academic and practitioner in the field. Second Circuit judge Gerard Lynch will moderate the discussion.
